Often a professional man; doctor, lawyer, politician. He has gained his position through practical, methodical and planned effort. Generally envisioned as an older gentleman he holds the orb and scepter of a ruler.

Aries and the Sun rule this card. The ram's heads adorning his throne in many decks symbolize this. As an Arian he is stubborn, willful, determined, hard working, earthy, methodical and focused. The Sun gives him the power to shine on his own terms, from his own efforts, by his own decisions and tends to be somewhat self centered.
