Max’s Oscar Picks

I too am looking forward to the Oscar's and usually am disappointed by who wins. Who isn't!  Anyway Max is choosing that Best Actor should be Michael Caine. He was superb over the others even Jack who will probably win. Best Actress should be Nicole Kidman. Her performance as Virginia Woolf was absolutely amazing but the winner probably will be Renee. Best supporting actor should go to Chris Cooper. He played a part oh so unlike him, but the winner probably will be Ed Harris as he too gave an excellent performance.  Harris is also overdo for an Oscar. Best supporting actress should go to Meryl Streep. She is a great actress and just deserves it, but the winner probably will be Kathy Bates as it's been a while since she has taken another Oscar. Best director should go to Martin Scorsese. He's a great director and has earned one with The Gangs of New York but the winner probably will be Stephen Daldry for The Hours. Best picture I hope goes to The Hours, as this was the Best picture of 2002 because of the story, how it kept you interested in the characters, and a great ending. The winner unfortunately might be Chicago as no musical has taken Best Picture in a long time and it may be due.  However, I found Moulin Rouge a superior picture to this because it was a love story and not about women killing their lovers. Anyway see you at the Oscars and may the best one take home the Oscar.
