How I Spent My Summer Vacation

When I first arrived in Chicago, Illinois, I was stunned by the beauty and behavior. In Ohio, there is not a lot of things that look pretty, mostly, things look old and boring. However in Chicago, everywhere I turned looked like buildings and parks were well taken care of, and far more interesting; take the city itself as an example; people are bustling about, there are restaurants I've never seen before or heard of, and at one particular restaurant, the service was an A+! It was a Chinese restaurant, (I had a bowel of Ramen yummmm! A+++!!) and in it was spinach, and I ate the spinach too since I couldn't taste it!) and the waitress was always checking on us, even when it got crowded! But in Ohio, regardless how crowded it is, (to me)! the service isn't very well.

But then you've got places with good service, and excellent food as well; The Cheese Cake Factory, my cousin Mike and I had A BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger (
another  yummmm! as well!!). When I ordered it, I figured it would be small, but once that waitress placed my plate before me.... I was on cloud 9.  And then I said this aloud; 'Everybody, keep your hands, fingers and toes away unless you want them to be eaten' and I got a big laugh from Aunt Kheris.  But the food was delicious and the service was friendly and excellent!

Here’s another thing; Chicago has so many things to do, the most common things such as aquariums, zoos, and museums. The ones in Chicago are much larger and have more activities for you to do then the ones in Cleveland. Lets look at the Shedd Aquarium, how often do you find little facts to read and activities to do? Or find a fish, (looking at you) with its mouth open, and can see all the way down to the end in it?  Here, well, I have no clue... All I know is that you MUST pay, but the one zoo in Chicago I went to, admission is.... FREE! That's right, free! I kid you not, this is not a joke, but we paid zip, $0.00, nadda, nothin,' get the picture?  Now, what shall I talk about next? Oh yes! The museum!! There was a baseball exhibit that I knew my stepdad would love! (I wish he could have come!!)  As the three of us browsed through, we learned about some baseball players, when it started, we saw collectibles. And listen to this! There was a baseball that was found after 9/11/01, remarkable in good condition! I think it had an autograph or two, but it's amazing though, and I was surprised it wasn't on the news or in the paper. We also went through other parts of the museum, like the ancient Egypt, the Pacific Spirits (somethin' like that) and other things too.

We also went to the Hancock Tower, were we got a beautiful view of Chicago. You could see all over, it was like looking at the city from a plane! I'm tellin' ya! If you go to Chicago, go to the Hancock Tower ASAP! 'Specially if yer on a date!

Well, I must go now.  I hope you enjoyed my little 'description' of Chicago.  Please visit Chicago sometime, be sure to bring LOTS of $ money $, it can be pretty expensive there, and bring a friend or family member, you'll have a lot more fun with him/her.
